Between 2010 and 2019, the percentage of smokers in Italy decreased considerably. In 2010 this figure was equal to 22.8 percent, while in 2019 the share of smokers in the Italian population over 14 years of age was equal to 18.4 percent. Despite this decrease, this figure in Italy grew again and in 2023 and reached 19.3 percent. This statistic shows the share of daily smokers in Italy from 2010 to 2023.
